Newcor Capital and Newcor Development are proud to announce the completion of a new self-storage facility along the Hufsmith corridor near The Woodlands. The project reached an important milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Wednesday, June 17, marking the official transition from development and construction to active operations.
The facility will be operated by RightMove Storage, with a larger community grand opening celebration planned for later this year.
Meeting the Storage Needs of a Growing Community
Located on approximately 5.12 acres in the rapidly growing Harris-Montgomery County area, the new facility was designed to meet increasing demand for high-quality storage options from residents, business owners, contractors, and recreational vehicle owners.
The property offers approximately 87,970 square feet of net rentable storage space across an estimated 617 units, including:
- Approximately 510 climate-controlled units totaling 64,350 square feet
- Approximately 93 non-climate-controlled units totaling 14,800 square feet
- Approximately 14 dedicated boat and RV storage spaces totaling 8,820 square feet
The facility is strategically located near a heavily traveled corridor and serves a market of nearly 43,000 households within a five-mile radius.
A Milestone for the Project Team
The June 17 ribbon cutting represented the culmination of years of planning, site selection, development, and construction efforts by the Newcor team.

We are also excited to have RightMove Storage operating the property and look forward to a larger grand opening celebration later this year.”
